Ashley

Welcome to the life of Ashley. I am a passionate, fun loving, adventure junkie.

Happy 24th to me!
I graduated from BYU-Idaho in December with BS in Interdisciplinary Studies. I had a hard time choosing a major when I was in college. I have always had big dreams of what I was going to be when I grew up. I wanted to be an ice skater, then an astronaut, and then when I was 10 I settled on a doctor. Alas, I chose none of those :) I have been passionate about medicine and health science for long time so that is what I finally decided on. I also have clusters in International Studies and Spanish. I have a love hate relationship with Spanish but I know it will be a benefit for my future career and family. I love the health promotion side of medicine and look forward to a career in International Health mostly because of my love for humanitarian work. Audrey Hepburn is one of my idols not because of her acting but because of her service in humanitarian work. I believe that one person can change the world. I had such a great time in college and met so many amazingly wonderful people. School is cool! If you have the chance to keep learning, take full advantage of it!

I love life with all the crazy ups and downs. My most favorite place on the whole world is the temple. I am so blessed to have the gospel in my life. I love spontaneity. I love cotton candy, forehead kisses, snow, sunshine, adventure, a good book and a cup of hot chocolate (I am sometimes a bookworm), staying up late talking with friends, the smell just after it rains, laughing until it hurts, balloons, and fireworks. I love memories and love LOVE having the chance to make new ones.

My family is an interesting mix of his and hers and then ours. I am the youngest of 9. I have 4 brothers and 4 sisters and am lucky to have a twin brother, Taylor, who is 10 minutes older than me.
My twin brother Taylor. Isn't he cute :)
People still ask me how it is to have a twin. I have loved having a buddy through crazy fun times and honestly haven't ever experienced anything else so having a twin is awesome! Growing up in a big family has been an adventure. Never a dull moment. There was always someone to talk too or hang out with. I love my family more than words could express.

I am from a small farming town in Idaho called Shelley. Super close to Rexburg so I honestly was never home sick while in college. I grew up on a small farm. I am a true Idaho girl.I love country music and country dancing. I love sage brush, snow, the wind (sometimes). I LOVE any type of potato in any form! I am an outdoor junkie. I love everything to do with outside, hiking, camping, fishing, boating, shooting. Pretty much anything outside!

Alaska 2012 with a BIG-a-shrimp
It has been 2 years since I was in Alaska and am super excited for round 2! Especially since my best friend Aisha will be joining me this summer!!!  I think everyone should visit Alaska at least once in their lives. It is simply amazing.
